I mentioned on another thread that my family went to see the movie: Woodlawn, which was similar to the movie Remember The Titans, but with a faith component. All the players and coaches seemed to be pointing upward, giving God the credit during games. Sadly, how times have changed. Woodlawn is excellent movie BTW
Also a Muslim sign.
It's taunting to satanists by reminding them who wins in the end.
From the article:
-—Turo told the media he doesnt plan to change is in-game celebrations, and fully plans to praise God again the next time he crosses the goal line.
Without a doubt, I will raise my finger, he said.-—
Good for him. As has been correctly stated: ‘Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God’.
You’re not there to “give glory to God”, you are there to help your team win.
Getting a 15 yard penalty does not help them win.
I am not sure I even disagree with tossing a flag on that, I would be MOST uncomfortable if they bowed down to mecca after a winning TD. Saw one player in the NFL do that a few months back- not sure what happened after that.
And some of them are public saints and private sinners. I had a next door neighbor who prayed the loudest in church every week- I think she poisoned our dog.
The Liberal Method of aggression is to attack by declaring self-defense. So the ref needed to declare the kid an aggressor. So he choose a PC accusation that he wouldn't have to explain.
The ref should be fired. The school should refuse to play any more games until he is fired, and sue the organization that provides refereeing.
They won't, of course.
Also - I am number one.
Shoulda pulled out a prayer rug and pointed his ass to the sky.
I also notice the reporter is careful not to identify in any way the referee - gender, age, race, profession, sexual orientation, etc..
That usually means they’re also hiding or protecting someone or something else.
Next time have the whole team point to the sky.
EVERY TOUCHDOWN!
We really are being hamstrung by cultural marxists. There is an ever growing list of verboten words. Now we have an ever growing list of verboten gestures. Don’t jump up and down, don’t slam the ball in the end-zone, don’t point up, don’t point your finger at anyone, don’t get down on one knee, don’t bow your head, don’t clasp your hands together. More and more the attempt to to strip out any spark, any hint of an individual, to snuff out the very soul.
Another example of complete naivete from a non-liberal.
Trying to rationalize with these bastards will never work. Immediately attack and don't stop attacking until the liberal is destroyed.
“celebration’ penalty
Better not throw any Hail Marys with this ref around
I bet if he had screamed ALLAH AKBAR no one would have made a fuss
Good.
Real Christians worship a crucified Lord, so they don't act all hurt and surprised when they find themselves nailed to a cross.
Prosperity-showering Buddy Jesus is a pernicious myth. The kid has learned a valuable lesson -- one hopes.
This is not punishable. But I admit to not liking it in terms of a sports contest. One team or guy triumphing over another does not mean Gd wanted THAT one to win and not the other.
Is that part of Christian theology? Do you guys pray you beat another team in sports? In Jewish theology, this would not be something Gd would do. If the fight is noble (a war against an enemy, a struggle to survive or help someone etc) Gd may well interject. But Gd doesn’t care which good team wins. The Almighty might bless any player with strength, calm mind, whatever, but HUMANS play a part in making this world a better place and really, we credit the human efforts in sports and not the Almighty.
With that said, I don’t find it any way offensive for any player to give credit to Gd for helping him be a better player. The world doesn’t need to see this crediting, but if the world does see it, the player should make the distinction, like I’ve heard before, “I credit the good Lrd for giving me the strength to make it happen out there on that field today” kind of thing. More people on the losing team should credit Gd for their heroic strength in the struggle to win as well, but they never do. THIS IS WHY I DON’T LIKE IT.
