Here another effect may come into play: the “I didn’t make a mistake” vote.

Or when people vote because their pride is on the line.

This should be a logical consequence of getting people to vote for their fantasies. It is an effect that could explain why people, once they’ve circled the wagons, can become so often entrapped by those they once defended ... like flies in amber. Their emotional investment in being right to ever have done so becomes their chains.

same reason i made a lousy trader the first two yearlong attempts.

I am a personal, part time trader and it took two beatings to realize that the market didn’t care about my pride.
