This is an excellent article on the IRS targeting of conservatives and the government cover up.

From the article:

"based upon Kadzik’s letter, future targeting of dissident groups can now be engaged in without concern about or worry over sanctions, discipline, or jail time. The Department of Justice has now, with its letter, given carte blanche to any government agency, including the IRS, to “go after” any group perceived to threaten the establishment, without fear of reprisal."

The DOJ are so good at what they do, they ought to be on DWTS.

At least they put on a good show, fooled most of the country it seems.
If I were Speaker, I would immediately have another hearing and subpoena Lois Lerner, and FORCE her to tell all and LOCK HER UP IN THE CONGRESSIONAL JAIL if she refuses for Contempt.

She already received a get out of jail free letter from the AG, there is NO VALID REASON to NOT TELL ALL!

Remember when the Dems used to scream that the Justice Dept HAD TO BE INDEPENDENT of the Executive Branch? Yeah, I guess they forgot that one. I have no hope that any of the criminals in the Obama Admin will ever be held to account. Would love it if they surprised me and showed a little conscience. (Oh wait, that was just a dream)

Technically she was doing the Obomo-demo-rino’s bidding to squelch any opposition to the criminal enterprise our leaders now enjoy, and she is innocent.

Obama’s people have declared Obama’s people innocent in their blatant and unconstitutional targeting of decent Americans whom Obama had previously declared to be his enemies. I am disgusted but not surprised.

Rove politicized the Bush administration’s DOJ and federal prosecutors got fired allegedly for political reasons. Alberto Gonzalez got fired largely as a result.

Our system of government was based upon the assumption that elected and appointed officials would follow the law and do the right thing. We all know what happens when we assume: it makes an -ass- of -u- and -me.

The Bush administration fired 8 federal prosecutors 2 years after he took office.

The Clinton administration fired all 93 federal prosecutors. Every single one, within days of taking office.

The country really hangs in the balance on this one.

Nixon was forced to resign over far less.

The woman came in to Congress and pleaded the Fifth.

If there was nothing there, why that? Was her attorney a fool?

Obviously not. They knew and she knows that what she was doing struck at the very foundation of government in the United States federal system.

They now mock the Congress with their smirking, bland attempt at squelching any prosecution. Kadzik himself should be forced to testify and we’ll see if he takes the Fifth. If so, then why not a trial?

If everyone is so innocent, the trial will show that.

Not “innocent”... more like “not guilty”. Both of which are absurd.

Well certainly the Democrats accused them of that but don’t recall anything being done. Don’t think Rove had anything to do with it. The Federal prosecutors serve at the pleasure of the President, BTW so ....... what’s your point?
