A VICTORIAN primary school has been criticised for allowing Muslim children to walk out of assembly while the national anthem was sung.
Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School says a religious month of mourning is the reason Islamic children are able to opt out of singing or listening to the anthem.
Lorraine McCurdy, who has two grandchildren at the school, told 3AW she was furious when school officials invited students to leave during Advance Australia Fair.
“Two children got up and said `welcome to our assembly’ with that a teacher came forward and said all those who feel it’s against their culture may leave the room,” Ms McCurdy said.
“With that about 30 or 40 children got up and left the room.
“We sang the national anthem and they all came back in.
“I saw red, I’m Australian and I felt ‘you don’t walk out on my national anthem, that’s showing respect to my country.”
Independent Senator for Tasmania Jacqui Lambie also hit out at the school, which promotes the ethos of ‘Many Cultures, One Community.’
“I find that absolutely devastating, we should all be singing the Australian national anthem and we should be doing that with pride,” Senator Lambie said.
“That’s part of us.
“I find these schools that are allowing this to happen disgusting.
“I don’t think religion needs to be brought into the national anthem.
“We should all be proud to be Australians and proud to sing the national anthem”

The original song on which it is based has five verses, but three of these are omitted from the national anthem because they were judged to refer more to Britain than Australia - with some justification, I admit. But I wish we still had more of the spirit of the last verse in operation when I read a story like this:
Should foreign foe e'er sight our coast,
Or dare a foot to land,
We'll rouse to arms like sires of yore
To guard our native strand;
Britannia then shall surely know,
Beyond wide ocean's roll,
Her sons in fair Australia's land
Still keep a British soul.

The left has done its best to get rid of that spirit in Australia. Many of us still have it - but it's no longer the norm.
The only immigrants to this country who should be welcome are the ones who come here wanting to become Australian - not the ones who come here wanting to stay as they were. I'm not saying they should abandon the good parts of their culture where they are consistent with the culture they are joining - but if you can't even stay in the room when the Australian National Anthem is sung, you're not willing to be an Australian even if you want to live here.
If you walk out on the national anthem, keep walking out of the school and head to the airport or a shipping port.

When hey walked out, unfortunately they did not walk far enough and right back to where they cam from.

part of being a citizen is that you vow to be loyal to other fellow citizen. Whats the point of allowing ppl into your club if don’t care. Well if they don’t care, I don’t care either
Pray fo their conversion to Christianity. That’s a better way of exterminating them.
Why would a teacher act like the vanquished and yield Australia to another culture? Are Australians in support of assimilation?
If you do not care whether immigrants assimilate, then you are willing to take a back seat to another culture that is superior to yours. Is that not so?

Even better: Pray for their salvation.
Pray for their death prior to adulthood.
Tell em to go home.
More and more people all around the world are getting fed up with the muzzies.
Lock the door behind them and let them walk across the border to another country.

also, walk out behind them and sing the Anthem behind them all the way to the boat docks, airports. Play the Anthem 24/7 in the Streets.
