Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has selected David Hoppe, a former adviser to Republican congressional leaders and a longtime Washington lobbyist, to serve as his chief of staff, should Ryan be elected House speaker this week, as is widely expected.
The hiring was finalized after Hoppe and Ryan, both Wisconsin natives and proteges of the late New York congressman Jack Kemp, had conversations about Ryans desire to staff the speakers office with seasoned aides who are also deeply familiar with conservatism, according to people briefed on the talks.

Hoppe earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Arts in international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University.
Do you have any links to anyone fighting this? It can`t be a done deal, not in a primary election year! What does Trump say? They`d listen to him!

David also serves as a senior advisor to the Bipartisan Policy Center, a nonprofit think tank founded by former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole, and George J. Mitchell.
Nope. None.
I think the WaPo is first to report.
Forums like this give us more than just a voice, are we going to just talk about it or are we going to try and fight it?
There`s Rush`s show and what about trying to get Trump to comment, anything is better than submission.
“Bipartisan.”
Uniparty.
Then we can search. If anyone finds anything, post it here. If this goes stale, ask to repost it with links, ok?
Yes and NO! We can not give up this hill without a fight!
Will do.
I sent Drudge the link, and noted a HEADLINE CHANGE. Seems someone (GOPe?) was upset with the lobbyist title.
New headline:
