The Democrats lied about the reason the enemy attacked us at Benghazi.
Why did they lie about it?
Was there anybody truly surprised that American government personnel and facilities were attacked in a Middle Eastern city? Libya had been in turmoil for quite some time.
The Democrats could have easily just attributed Benghazi to the usual scuffling in the Middle East, but they didn’t do that.
Almost immediately, they were searching for a lie to explain Benghazi and started broadcasting that lie.
Why?
It would have been easier for them to just shrug their shoulders and say,
“Well, it’s Libya and Libya is in turmoil.”
Why come up with a harder lie?
You are smart. Obviously something was going on in Benghazi that they were HIGHLY MOTIVATED to protect. Or else why, as you say, bother coming up with a rather stupid excuse THAT quickly?
