That is probably what triggered this sudden and much belated US activity in Iraq. The Iraqis probably demanded to see some action or they would welcome the Russians. It would make sense for them to play the US and Russia against each other as the best sugar daddy and heavy weapons section.
All I heard on the news this AM was that the guy killed was acting in an advisory capacity....i.e., he wasn’t boots on the ground. BS.......
