Carson must be getting some of the gas0h0l $’s sent his way:

http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/14/ben-carson-in-favor-of-scrapping-big-oil-subsidies-in-favor-of-e/

The 2016 presidential election is putting Iowa in the news a lot recently because a strong showing in the state’s early primary can give a big boost to campaigns. The location also gives us a chance to learn the candidates’ positions on the Renewable Fuel Standard and ethanol subsidies because the Hawkeye State is a major farming region, especially of corn. Republican hopeful Dr. Ben Carson recently made his feelings known as a definite supporter of the crop-based fuel.

“I don’t particularly like the idea of government subsidies for anything because it interferes with the natural free market,” Carson said to the Des Moines Register. “’Therefore, I would probably be in favor of taking that $4 billion a year we spend on oil subsidies and using that in new fueling stations’ for 30-percent ethanol blends.” Carson predicted that under his plan gasoline would be 50 cents to 80 cents less expensive per gallon.

Carson could face serious pushback outside of Iowa, if he’s serious about offering a 30-percent ethanol blend. States like Hawaii and Oregon have been trying to pass laws to get rid of their 10-percent mix mandates, and Florida has already done so. The national debate over increasing the nationwide blend limit from E10, or 10 percent ethanol, to E15, is also already contentious. As Hotair notes, Dr. Carson’s statement also seems contradictory. If he’s against government subsidies, then moving $4 billion from one place to another doesn’t really change anything.

Among the candidates in Iowa, Dr. Carson is hardly the only ethanol supporter, though. Hillary Clinton already signaled her support for the fuel and several Republican hopefuls did, as well.

Looking at an average of the principle national polls over time, of the top six GOP contenders since September 1st, reveals some interesting trends.

Trump dropped while Carson and Fiorina rose...but then Trump recovered and Fiorina and Bush dropped, while Carson continued to rise, and Rubio and Cruz also made modest gains.

"One will never go broke betting against the choice of the buffoons who attend the Hawkeye Caucii. "

The Greater Des Moines Sewing and Ladies Christmas Club.

Attendees to their gatherings?

Farmers, Church Ladies (in the derisive, SNL sense, not real sense) and Professional Politicians.

Yes, met him and talked with him several times. He did a great sermon all wrapped around his Harley-Davidson bike and some adventure they had...

My Father in law and his wife were founding members of Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton after leaving a Presbyterian church nearby.

They now have new leadership, but the hallmarks of a Mega CChurch including a 4 story parking structure and associate “Parking Nazis” as many of the attendess called them for their “stiff necks” when we were space hunting....

Not allowed, more like a concert and funnel em in...

He blew their hair back, the looks on their faces was priceless and he had 2 more services that day as repeat performances...

Ahhh, good times....

@realDonaldTrump says “a very strong yes” to the renewable fuel standard. “I am totally in favor of ethanol 100 percent” #ffcdinner

And here’s the video of Trump announcing that he will support the ethanol mandate. He called ethanol “terrific.”

George W. Bush is the only winner of the Iowa Caucus that was even elected president. When Carson overtakes Trump in NH and SC he needs to start worrying.

“They vote Carson saying Trump is a city slicker...
I wonder if those retards can even tell you any details of Carson’s policies? Well, except for ethanol subsidies! “

Exactly!

Then I’d add, I wonder if Carson can tell you the details of his policies?

The nation really doesn’t hang on their results. In most years they are not very good at picking the Republican nominee. In contested Republican primary elections they are about 50/50 or a little less.

Carson and Cruz are the only ones who never dropped in this range.

I’ll never understand why anyone would back Carson over Cruz. Cruz is a proven, consistent conservative who’s been involved in the movement for a longer time. And he’s simply more prepared to be president. Everything Carson learned about the economy and foreign policy was in weekend crash courses after he flubbed basic questions this year.

Iowa is not winner take all. The delegates will be split. Top two or three will divide with % going to each.
In the past the Gopee have had the most for momentum and divided the opposition for remainder Giving their opponent very few delegates

If Trump and Carson end one or two in any order with CRUZ in the mix. We the people win — establishment out

That being said.
1. Trump and Carson have known each other for years. Both work on Children Hispital philanthropies (both friends of Thomas family — St Jude)
2. If you google Cason’s West Palm Beach home you will see a golf course in the back yard
3. Trumps winter home is also in West Palm Beach. So is one or more golf club and developments
Just saying.....

You answered my concerns.

One personal one. My wife had a great 1968 Camaro Convertible with the basic v8 engine.

It got over 20 miles per gallon, and besides new tires every 4 years, a new top and new paint job to go with the new tires, it was a great vehicle.

A family friend in his independent auto shop did the tuneups when the time came. The car had only about 80k miles on it when gas0h0l came out, and our friend said the engine would probably DOA in a few months. It happened and we replaced it with a California rebuilt engine. The mileage dropped to about 14-16 mpg. The performance also went downhill.

My wife sold her sluggish Camaro and had several buyers.

The good news was we didn’t have an engine fire like so many Cali drivers did with their older cars aa the Gas0h0l apparently dissolved the rubber/? gaskets/fittings. That seems not to be a problem.

Last but not least, this is another example of Crony capitalism, which is why both Clintoon’s love gas0h0l.

“Just saying.....”

If Trump were to pick “The good man” as his running mate, any and all excitement I had about this election, and the hope of making America great again, would circle the drain. I’d feel as though I’d been had. There is absolutely no question that Cruz would make a far superior president or VP than the doctor.

Cruz is my hands down candidate...for all of the reasons you cited.

Carson would make a good president and would pull together a team that would be effective. he knows how to do that...and is actually showing it with this campaign. No one expected him to do this will...even those of us who liked him from the start.

I believe Trump would end up a very strong president too. he too knows how to build effective teams and would put it to good use. And, the Tax and Immigration plans he has fleshed out to date are things I would support.

Any of those three would have my support if they win the nomination.

“...this is another example of Crony capitalism..”

That is ALL it is anymore. As long as we as a nation have other more reliable, less expensive, and more efficient forms of energy, growing corn to make liquor to run our vehicles is nothing more than a political racket and crony capitalism. It’s sad that the good folks of Iowa remain drunks.

"There is absolutely no question that Cruz would make a far superior president or VP than the doctor."

Cruz would be a drain on the GOP ticket.

By far, most Republicans don't like him and none of the Democrats or Independents do.

He's just a really unlikable guy, without consideration of any merits.
