When whites become a minority in the United States, the National Rifle Association (NRA) will fall and gun control legislation will finally pass, UCLA law professor Adam Winkler wrote Monday in a Washington Post op-ed.
Democrats have long advocated for gun control, an issue which repeatedly returns to the forefront in the aftermath of every mass shooting. The latest shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon is a little different, but this time President Barack Obama is making a much more aggressive call for political action.
“We are not the only country on earth that has people with mental illnesses or want to do harm to other people,” Obama said at the White House, according to The Guardian. “We are the only advanced country on earth that sees these kinds of mass shootings every few months.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are not enough,” Obama continued. “It’s not enough. This is a political choice that we make, to allow this to happen every few months in America. We collectively are answerable to those families who lose their loved ones because of our inaction.”
The National Rifle Association successfully blocks attempts at gun control reform, but that may soon change according to Winkler, who points out that demographic characteristics associated with support for the NRA are all on the decline.
“The core of the NRA’s support comes from white, rural and relatively less educated voters,” Winkler writes. “This demographic is currently influential in politics but clearly on the wane. While the decline of white, rural, less educated Americans is generally well known, less often recognized is what this means for gun legislation.”
Polls show whites favor gun rights more than other races by 57 percent to 40 percent.
Whites comprise 63 percent of the population. But not for long. Hispanics are only 17 percent of the population but will likely boom to 30 percent over the course of a few decades. Unlike whites, Hispanics overwhelmingly — at 75 percent — favor gun control.
A total of 80 percent of Asian-American registered voters support gun control. While they constitute only 5 percent of the population, that number is expected to triple in three decades.
Aside from race is region. Rural Americans, 63 percent of whom favor gun rights, are on the decline. Metropolitan areas are seeing a surge in population.
The population is also becoming more educated, and education is linked with support for gun control. With increasing age is one of the only factors working in support of the NRA, Winkler thinks that white, rural America is dying. And once it’s finished, America will get its gun control.
Professor Winky doesn’t have to delay the Sacred Day when Whitey be Gone.
He can move to Uganda tomorrow morning, and presto, no more white people.
Of course he’ll be dead the next day, but that’s a detail...
It’s not about guns, it’s about control. An armed population will not allow what the gun grabbers have in mind.

Wouldn’t it make this fellow blow a gasket if several dozen well known, female minority intellectualls all openly and publicly joined the NRA at the same time, and held a press conference to announce that fact? :P
Or, better yet, if the Pink Pistols (love them or hate them) piped up with their own version of: “Yeah... About that...”
At this point it no longer makes any difference if you create gun control laws. We will disobey them. We will manufacture guns in our garages.

Idiot. Guess what? The percentage of black Americans who support concealed carry exceeds the number of white Americans. The last time I was at a gun range orientstion, the number of Hispanics, blacks and Asians had blossomed. And I do everything I can, as a white male AMERICAN, TO INTEREST MY boack, Hispanic, Asian and female friends in the shooting sports. So, go screw yourself wee willie winkler!!
Is this a racist statement? Do non-whites not have any ability to defend themselves? Is this an indication that minorities are too stupid too realize what is happening to them? Does the left think they can roll over the non-whites with lies? Can the liberals get any more out there without minorities knowing what is in store for them? How more deliberate can the anti-gunners get and how more stupid can minorities get than to realize that gun owners are their only last protection from total elimination?
For a few years I have noticed that there are people drooling at a future with a lot fewer white folks. They are thrilled at the prospect of USA becoming combo of Syria, Mexico and take your pick of some African hellhole.

Since this “expert” is injecting race into the topic of guns, I propose a test to ascertain the color of gun crime. I propose we overlay the stats on a grid indicating voting patterns and racial demographics. I believe it’s likely that this “expert” would be shocked if the white, republican, likely NRA areas do not experience the high volume of gun crime this rube believes. His self-loathing anger is likely misplaced.
Don’t worry, Iran is working as fast as it can on a solution to America’s problem with liberals. I would fully expect a couple of cities full of gun controlling Democrats to be vaporized within the next decade. That will shift the balance of political power against kind of control.

Not surprised this ended up as an op-ed because the fact checkers on any newspaper could not have allowed the claim that the majority of gun owners are apparently rednecks from the backwoods! Everyone I know who owns a gun has a college education. How about the massive number of gun “owners”, obviously unregistered guns, who inhabit slums in every American city? Well, I learned something anyway: one of the purposes of changing America’s demographics is to diminish the articulate and educated defenders of the right to own guns.
Racism in black communities has been fed and nurtured while racism in other communities has been rightly condemned. When will the black communities join everyone else and fight the racism in their midst?
We will see more gun control, much of the nation some day will likely resemble NY, CA, NJ, etc. But unlike other nations we do have that pesky 2nd amendment. While I don’t disagree completely with the author, don’t forget somebody owns hundreds of millions of firearms and are buying millions more firearms in the US and they’re not all pubbies.
