Time for Trump!
Biden getting in would obviously split support and cause internal conflict for the DNC.
If he polled strong his gaffe a day tendency would surely have been entertaining at the least, damaging at the best to the dims.
Reading between the lines everything considered, it appears that biden thinks he can't beat the hildabeast. That does let the RNC focus on her but, considering their demonstrated impotence in general, I am not taking great heart in this announcement being good for the Republicans.
He has made it known he is “available” just by this speculation. He could respond as the hero in waiting if the hildabeast goes to jail.
The Dems are competing for who can out-Marx the other. The choices are Left, Lefter, and Leftist.
American voters will love the Dem candidate, regardless.

Obama cannot run (thank Christ), but if Hillary was to win, it would mean that she would become the top power in the DNC, as is tradition with either party.
Obama does not want to give up power, and wants the DNC as his own plaything.
If Biden runs and loses in the primary or general (likely either way), then it is a repudiation of Obama. No benefit there.
But set Clinton up to fail or have Sanders fail in the general (also most likely), the Obama has 4-8 years of a party needing to rebuild at his disposal.
His speech was more like a campaign speech than someone who’s been in office for 7 years. Giving a speech in the Rose Garden with Obie standing next to him, gives him a presidential look for sure. ‘I will not serve’ causes compassion (not from me but among others). I’m not usually into conspiracies, but when the Clintons are involved, who knows.
In typical fashion, Biden does something very STUPID. He announces he's not running BEFORE Hillary's hearing, not AFTERWARDS as he should've done.
That was a campaign speech Biden gave today. I do not believe for one second he's out of the race. His speech signals that Hillary is in deep doodoo but Bammy wants to give the impression all is well before the hearing.
He will be viewed as the savior of his party when he takes up the mantle.
If hillary can't stop the inner witch from bursting out before the nomination, who's left? The dem elite don't want Sanders any more that the 'pub elite want Trump. So I'd think a rested Biden, not in the political fray, is their Plan B. Better than having hillary and Biden beat up each other in a campaign.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the democrats have alternate plans should Hillary not be in the race. They have big time and well known persons, mostly with huge amounts of money, who can be pitched to take on Trump’s business background.
I saw a Hillary campaign ad today and her crowning achievement is that she traveled almost a million miles. What more do you need to be elected president?
