Most of the population is on welfare - the casino workers
had to be “imported” from other parts of Jersey or Philly

1) Have criminal records
2) dont want to work......
By the way several casino have closed recently - nobody wants to go there when there is a casino on every street corner
You are so right, and now that the casino industry is crumbling AC is joining other NJ cities in walking around, hat in hand, asking, “Will you feed my gibsmedats?”
I haven’t been there in years, but remember it as a dump with one sliver along the beach where it wasn’t a hopeless dump.
