Nope. It could never happen here. How would the democrats recharge their EBT cards, surf the web & watch ESPN, & Netflix? Gotta have their bread and circuses. </sarc>

It is very important be be 25+ miles away from large metropolitan areas / democrat strongholds for your family safety in a time of crisis. In such a scenario, there will be thousands of new flat screens in the homes of starving city residents.

Congress is more concerned about the safety of every country except America. What a travesty.

I don’t know what the fuss is about. I’ll just call for pizza on an iphone or order online.

I’m 45 miles from the edge of one of these rat-holes. Hopefully, that will be good enough. There are plenty of close-in suburbs near the edge of the rat-hole before rural land opens up and I’m deep into the rural hinterland.

Read “One Second After” by William R Forstchen for an idea of what will happen if the electrical grid goes down. Not a pretty sight.

I really wish people would stop with the “hacking” non-sense. The critical controls are NOT on the Internet; they just aren’t; they aren’t even close to the Internet.
If people knew how even in the loosest of shops how tight those controls are they would stop the hyperbole (and the controls are getting even tighter).
Without doubt an energy companies mail server or external facing web server might get nailed but the networks those services sit on have no way of talking to the backend critical infra.
I am more concerned about high power rifles and transformers than I am about “hax0rs”.

Is this one of those “we need more money” articles from government?
