I don't fault Trump for standing up for himself. He's been attacked by the establishment candidates almost from the get go. Trump's toughness and never back down approach has been educational for the GOP and illustrates why the GOPe can't get anything done with majorities in the House & Senate. The GOPe plays nice. Trump plays to win.
My problem with Trump isn't his toughness, I wish more Pubs were, it's his overnight conversion to conservatism. I'm not confident he will be dependable if elected.
Cruz is the most reliable conservative running.
