OPT visa holders are already eligible to become H-1Bs.THe H-1B is a dual visa - guest workers who are eligible to apply for green card.

While H-1Bvisa has time limits, there is no enforcement.

No, you are missing the point. OPT basically allows foreigners to work for a max of 12 months while they are in college. It can extend passed when they are in college if they don't use up their 12 month quota.

That is NOT what Trump is proposing. Trump is proposing a legalization for foreign students after they graduate with no expiration and with no requirement that Americans First be hired.

What Trump wants to do is just as bad as expanding H1Bs.
