Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb will announce Tuesday that he is dropping out of the Democratic presidential race, Fox News has learned.

Webb is said to be disillusioned with the Democratic Party -- as well as the Republican Party -- and how the political parties are being pulled to allegedly extreme positions by the huge amounts of loosely regulated money fueling the campaigns.

Webb has a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

While Webb is thought to be weighing a possible independent bid, he is not expected to launch an independent campaign for president Tuesday. Rather, he's expected to take some time after his announcement to talk with people from across the political spectrum before making a decision.

I would say this....Webb is an interesting guy and I might be able to agree with half the things that he supports. On the national platform? He’s just not that type of leader....he ought to just stay local and run for Governor.

The Republican Party doesn’t want Trump either. Maybe these two should get together. ;)

Neither party is worthy of our votes.

If Webb is going to run as independent, he must owe Hillary a big favor.

The only function of the other democrat “candidates” is to justify the free airing of a Kabuki Theater democrat debate, thereby giving Hillary free TV time and free national exposure before her coronation as the democrat candidate.

After all - it wouldn’t be fair for the republicans to get free TV time just because there are real challengers for the republican nomination.

To say money is pulling Republicans too far to the right is just ignorant. The money is pulling the party to center left. The voters want none of it.

The Clintonistas offered Webb a free weekend at an exclusive resort to relax if he didn't withdraw:

If Webb is going to run as independent, he must owe Hillary a big favor.

The big favor owed is because Hillary still has his FBI file but isn't making it public - yet.

During the debate Webb sounded like a throwback to the views of the old school Dems (i.e., before the party was taken over by wild-eyed radical liberals). He clearly is not in synch with his party so that’s a big plus for him.

He’s got some gravitas but lacks the big personality and/or charisma that’s need to win on the national level. Just my humble opinion.

Jim Webb dropping out? Not a surprise, really, as he has been left behind by his party, much as Ronaldus Magnus had been many years earlier. While Jim Webb may never achieve the stature of The Great Communicator, he is still acting from some motive of conscience.

You cannot be both a loyal Democrat and a loyal American.

Not any more.

That’s a shame. Webb dropping out shows how far Left the Dems have gone in the past 20 years. Webb occupied the space that Gephardt or Lieberman or even Bill Clinton used to occupy — the more moderate Dem. They used to be the favorites. Now they get tossed aside by the insane lunatic Left that makes up the Dem Party.

Come on. If Hillary was going to sick her goons on anyone it wouldn't be the guy with 0.0 percent of winning.
