Candidates: Caddo DA's office not for sale (to Soros)

SHREVEPORT, LA - Candidates running to become Caddo's next district attorney agree on one fact: The office is not for sale. The message was delivered loud and clear Friday morning by 5 of the 6 candidates after reports that billionaire investor George Soros had made a big political contribution locally.

Avallone helped organize the event after media reports this week indicated Soros had donated $256,000 to a Bossier City Super PAC (Political Action Committee) believed to be using the money to influence the race for district attorney.

Well, let’s see if the Soros backed candidate, former 2nd Circuit Court of Appeal Judge James Stewart, wins.

Wonder why Soros thinks he needs a DA there. It has a SAC base (or whatever they call SAC now) and some casinos and motels.
