Last I heard there were six workers pulled out with non-life threatening injuries. But numerous people were still trapped beneath it. Firefighters say a second collapse is probable.

I have worked on scaffolding four stories up and disliked it immensely, also I hated walking around under the stuff. I have a lot of respect for the people that can work on the high stuff without a care. Someone is going to have to answer a whole lot of questions about the inspections of scaffolding parts and their assembly.

I don’t go near scaffolding. I won’t even step on manhole covers of the metal coverings on sidewalks. I was walking with a friend years ago in Spain and he fell through one.

I’ve also heard that a crane operating nearby hit the scaffolding causing the collapse. But that has not been verified.

Horrific crash around 2 a.m. caused by car going southbound in northbound 288 lanes. Five vehicles involved, at least one death. Car parts everywhere, even yet this morning. People pretty much drive 70-75 mph through this area during non-traffic hours. Driver of car causing accident has yet to be identified.
