North Korea: Development of Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile Continues

Commercial satellite imagery indicates that North Korea is continuing the development of a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) at the Sinpo South Shipyard, including planning for a test of the vertical launch tube intended to fire the weapon. These developments may account for a CNN report on October 9—the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK)—that US officials believed the DPRK might conduct an SLBM test soon.

Well of course. Extortion is a business for them. It is how they survive. They certainly have nothing to offer the rest of the world other than threats. Heck, their people are starving to death.

They continue to develop new means of extortion. They have three-stage rockets and nukes. Now that other countries lean hard on them for playing with those toys, Norks apparently came up with the new one: SLBM. Give them a time, and you can count on them to manufacture new extortion ploys. Nuclear fusion, hydrogen bomb, EMP? Why not? They always let everybody know their new ploy. They know that we talk much but have no teeth. This is how they have made their living for decades.

If you give them grain aid, they will sell grains at international market. With that money, they can build missiles and nukes, buy cognacs and fancy luxuries for elites, and third-rate crap grains which are only suitable for cattle feed. Then they sell cattle feed to peons as food. That is how grain aid is used.

And, just how long can it stay on station without surfacing?

Seems to me they are wasting their money.
