A prominent student activist from Oxford University is resigning from her political posts and campaigns after admitting she failed to obtain full consent before having sex at a conference earlier this year.
Annie Teriba, a third-year student at Wadham college, was the editor of No Heterox** described as a zine for queer and trans voices as well as a racial equality officer and member of both the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts committee and the NUSs black students committee, according to the independent Oxford University newspaper Cherwell.
Teriba reportedly made the admission in a statement posted on her Facebook profile, which has since been deleted. She said she began a physical relationship with someone at the NUS black students conference in May, but was later told by the other person that the sex had not been consensual.
Teriba wrote: This statement explains why I will be stepping down from political campaigning from now.
At this years NUS black students conference, I had sex with someone. The other party later informed me that the sex was not consensual. I failed to properly establish consent before every act. I apologise sincerely and profoundly for my actions.

Chortle.
Not the Oxford near Bug Tussle....
Did you see the list of her “activities”? Does it look like a list of university clubs or list of activities for a whorehouse?
I guess Oxford and other universities are no longer what they used to be!
Let each one of those phrases just sort'a sink in ....
It's a damned good thing faggots can't reproduce

i wonder how many time Valjar has tried to contact her to give her a job...
Legalism on steroids!
A very confused and troubled person.
Not wanting to sound too unkind, I still must remark that, having seen her photo, I would be hard-pressed to conceive that any sexual act with this womyn could in any way, manner, or form EVER be considered consensual.
Odd headline for a RAPE case.
She’s a lesbian? Why do they HATE women so?
She could sell BJs on a street corner in Baltimore ... no problem.
Beyond confused.
Wasn’t there a scene in a Woody Allen film in which a woman says “I finally had an orgasm, but my doctor told me it wasn’t the right kind of orgasm”? Reading this article made me think of that scene for some silly reason or another, lol. In any event, I guess this episode is example number 52,678 of how really funny these people are when they do not intend to be.
We used to call this rape.
promiscuity is the genetic sexual force in black women
consent is irrelevant...... it just comes naturally
Was that one mooooo or two mooooos?
That is Terriball!
While I enjoy the schadenfreude, this has just gotten too ridiculous.
I propose we go back to an older standard: "Going into a person's bedroom, or voluntarily letting them into yours, shall be deemed consent. Removal of consent must be explicit and unambiguous, such as getting up and leaving the room."
Not the Oxford near Bug Tussle....
nor Timbo, and Eureka Springs.
