PFFFFT! HAHAHAHA! My neighbor is a forensic scientist for the county. She does a lot with firearm "fingerprinting" and tracing of crime guns, but they could never trace EVERY gun used in a crime.
Yep, there’s no way that the State Police can possibly do a trace on EVERY gun used in EVERY crime in the state.
They’d cancel it anyway once the vast majority of traces go back to “clean” family members of the criminal and the ‘disparate impact’ becomes evident.
Though connecting guns through from the legal seller to the illegal owner is a sound idea.
