“I don’t like to look back. I’d rather move forward”. Unlike the DC elites he believes the American people are smart. Surprise!! We aren’t the local yokels the elites would have you believe. We Do Get It. Now, what we gonna do with it?

I wish Cruz were as good as Trump in demolishing PC. Perhaps you recall the raging firestorm Trump created simply by acknowledging that foreign invaders rape and murder US citizens. Macy’s, and even NASCAR cancelled contracts with him, and there was a lot more blowback, too.

Cruz has never spoken of the casualties of our wide open border/invading horde by name. He went to the border to distribute soccer balls and teddy bears, but he has not similarly visited US children who have lost one or both parents to foreign invaders. This is a major disappointment to me.

God bless the Scots.

Never have to wonder what they’re really thinking.

Much of the hatred for Trump is old fashioned envy.

There are so many ‘girly men’ around now...like a friend of mine told me of a ‘bar night’ she had...a good looking male was sitting at the bar, she with her friends, flirting, he bought her a drink, never approached her, and in walks another male and up to this guy and they kiss, she said she just about threw up right there...she hasn’t went to that bar since...

I been married twice, had a boy friend for 17 years, that ‘s enough for me ... living my life by myself now....

There is some envy involved, but it’s not the driving force. Primarily they blame Trump for Cruz’ inability to catch fire. If Trump were not ‘lying’ Cruz could dominate the field as the conservative alternative to the GOPe. The longer Cruz languishes in the five percent range, the more fury his supporters feel toward Trump. That is why their hatred is so personal and visceral. Cruz’ poor showing is all Trump’s fault, and some would be perfectly happy to see him dead on account of it.

He’s certainly a quick study.

He's either a quick study with well chosen advisers, or an exceptionally smooth liar.

I'm definitely leaning toward the former interpretation ... he doesn't come across as slimy, slick and calculated. See KKKlinton, B. J. and KKKlinton, H. R. for contrast.

Well, it’s gonna get worse. Did you see today’s SC and NV polls? In two states that should be Cruz la d, Trump is over 30 in each and Cruz at 4 in NV.

I expect that is a more real side to him, as people have been describing. Watch his old SNL appearance and you see how much less comfortable he was in front of the camera a decade below. He did learn lots with the Apprentice in the last decade, and that persona is probably a real part of him as well. But now I think he is learning to make the more serious, up to now private, side of him known as well.

You absolutely nailed it. About 6 or 7 people here absolutely hate Trump. There are another 5 or 6 in their Amen section.

The state polls are always the most accurate. Trump’s juggernaut is on a roll, and you are so right. The Trump haters’ attacks will flare like sun spots, and we may get some global warming yet...from the steam coming out their ears.

I see that, but they can’t understand why we like Trump and that’s ok, because Trump is way to good for them to even think about....but we can...he he he

‘You absolutely nailed it. About 6 or 7 people here absolutely hate Trump. There are another 5 or 6 in their Amen section.’

Exactly right—and most Trump supporters could name both the red-hot haters and their cheering squad. They imagine they are helping Cruz, but they are knee-capping him at every turn. It’s sad to see.

They should rename MSNBC, “The Trump Network.”

I'll bet their numbers are going up...

They’ve finally got a liberal they can market. A Howard Dean who actually knows how to work the media.

And then there are those of us who would only have voted for Cruz, but who came to the conclusion (in July for me) that he can’t win this time around no matter how good I think he is. Trump can win, and the fact that Cruz and Trump have some sort of mutual admiration society going on isn’t lost on me.

It isn’t lost on me either. I love the way Cruz and Trump refrain from attacking each other. I don’t think it’s possible to second guess Trump on his VP pick, but I would bet Cruz could have a key position in a Trump administration if he wanted it.

I suspect Cruz will have his choice of roles in a Trump administration. And whatever he picks he will be a key advisor. One thing that Trump knows is how to pick key people. You don’t micromanage a corporation the size of the one he was been running. You find excellent people and give them the responsibility.
