He won’t live to see how wrong he was. But his statement can be replayed over and over again as an object lesson to the gullible.

“The problem, according to Dr. Evans, lies in the validity of the climate models.”
The money quote.....that has always been the problem

In about 1981 one of my clients, chief engineer for a large Natural Gas Company in the Midwest suggested to me that we were headed into a global warming period that would last 20 to 25 years.

The problem, according to Dr. Evans, lies in the validity of the climate models. .....Dr. David Evans was a climate modeler for the Australian government. He has six degrees in applied mathematics. In analyzing "complex mathematical assumptions widely used to predict climate change Hey Professor with six degrees in applied maths....

The audience ate it up. The focus groups loved it. Stunning dumbing-down of the populace. No critical thinking skills in evidence in the Dims.

And lo the earth cools. As usual mankind’s ego believes that this is only due to him. Pitiful souls, they. If not pitiful, the term EVIL might be substituted.

Whether warmer or colder, drier or wetter, windier or calmer, it's still OUR FAULT and we have to spend trillions to fix it.
Get it?
The real reason is of course that Leftists want to bring down western civilization.
They use whatever excuse they can find to do that. Climate, Energy, Health care, Food...
The real solution is cheap energy. With cheap energy we will have NO PROBLEM adapting to changes in climate, if any, at a cost that is a small fraction of the cost of attempting to control the temperature of the whole planet.

There is zero doubt, from looking at the climate for the last million years or so, that we are currently at the peak of what’s termed the “inter-glacial warming period”.
Just look at the Vostok ice core data.
So it’s right now just about as hot as it can get.
And it’s gonna get A LOT colder!

Whether warmer or colder, drier or wetter, windier or calmer, it's still OUR FAULT and we have to spend trillions to fix it. Get it?In the old days, bad weather was considered 'our fault' and it was necessary to sacrifice some virgins to fix it. Now, our idiots are more sophisticated, and it is necessary to sacrifice prosperity.

Back in the 90's the big topic was the ozone layer and the hole in the ozone at the south pole. I know people connected with Antarctic experiments with ice cores.
Ice cores show no significant changes in atmosphere for over 10,000 years. Secondly, the hole in the ozone was caused by a massive volcanic eruption and shrinks and grows naturally. There was never a problem with the ozone layer caused by man. Same with "climate change."

I don't have any links, I know the guy who designed the ice coring drill bits used to take ice core samples in Antarctica in the 90's. We spoke about the research and what was being learned from melting the ice cores in a vacuum.
He had to design different drill bits for different depths of ice in order to extract intact ice cores. Was fascinating to talk to him about this stuff.
