Looks like Mecca is going to be a green glass parking lot sooner rather than later.
The first thought I had was let’s hope nobody runs out of bullets. Not very charitable but the whole situation is a mess.
As the Trinity tests produced “Trinitite”, we may anticipate “Meccatite” being a new rock for collectors to add to their rock collections.
One may also reasonably anticipate being able to acquire specimens of “Medinite”.
Let’s not forget the Old Testament did predicted “Damascite”.
