And I like Barone, but he's clearly a denizen of the corrupt cesspool that is DC.
He needs to leave his charts and graphs to get an understanding of the virulent attitude the country has for all things DC.
Political Correctness cannot help but eliminate true leadership from a culture, since leadership requires courage.

Low-information Michael Barone evidently hasnt waken up to the following concerning political parties. Given that one of the very few powers that the states delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, to regulate an aspect of INTRAstate commerce was to decide policy for the US Mail Service (1.8.7), Mr. Barone actually needs to ask himself the following question.
How many political parties does it take to run the US Mail Service?
I say none.
In fact, if the states ever get around to repealing the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, the repeal amendment ought to include a provision prohibiting political party support for federal lawmakers and presidents.
Political correctness needs to die now!
