Millions of people in the United States could be forced to abandon their homes if planet-warming emissions continue unabated through 2100, pushing global sea levels up by more than 14 feet (4.2 meters), researchers said.
In the United States, between 20 and 31 million people are living on land that would be submerged by rising oceans without aggressive cuts to greenhouse gas emissions, according to a study published on Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Other predictions of massive flooding have been repeated over and over. This sounds like a taxpayer supported study.
These people never give up, even when they’re the butt of pretty much every weather joke in America.
SOMEone is bound to lose their grip on the floor before too long
Continue? It's been like 18 years of no warming.

Meanwhile, in Germany .......
Several of the Republican candidates are GoreBull warming proponents
Ok Congress, here is your chance to Shine.
Come out PUBLICLY with legislation to SAVE the PEOPLE from Global Warming, bring these swami’s with you, hold a press conference and announce NEW Legislation to SAVE the PEOPLE, legislation to OUTLAW IMMEDIATELY any Personal Residences and Businesses within 1 mile of the Ocean ANYWHERE in the US. For their own safety of course.
Watch them change their tune
The people that buy beachfront property hardest hit? Those poor poor people!
Then FEMA camps will have free wifi by then. Herd them there.
Even if this were true, I don’t see the problem... That’s 85 years from now, and it that were the trend people wouldn’t buy in those areas and would have long moved...
Because $$$$$$$$$.
Misguided global warming activists have at least wised up to projecting times of PC global warming disasters that many of us will probably not live long enough to witness.
I am basically a skeptic but let’s say that sea levels did rise by fourteen feet in the next eight decades. That would be an average of less than two feet per decade. It would require building sea walls in some places, by an average of six inches every presidential term. Does that sound impossible? Remember, this is not around the whole country. There are lots of coastlines that have twenty feet to play with before anyone gets wet.
I think the smart option is not to obsess about things that can’t be changed, but to have a plan in place to build the necessary coastal defences. We should know how that would happen as we see the need for it. There won’t be one day where suddenly seas are fourteen feet higher than today.
So that’s what the smart political option lies — have a plan, execute it if or when necessary.
It’s a good thing we have such outstanding leadership on global warming, otherwise everybody is going to die.
You know that is actually a great idea.
I’m sure it would work——and show the hypocrisy.
.
Plus, if trends continue, those future people won’t be worth saving anyway.
That’s where, not what ... in the last sentence above.
By the way, a really smart plan would avoid sea walls around certain cities. You can guess which ones.
Hmmm....if the Leftists on the east and west coasts really believe this dire prediction from the infamously “97% of scientists,”, why aren’t they moving?
- President Golfy McMuslim (all peace and blessings be upon him) on the occasion of his securing the Democratic nomination for President. Seven years later, we must be in the clear by now.
Well I plan to stick around just to poke fun at ‘em dad-gum it!
