Matt's site was up and running and had a link named "Whitewater" when most of us found this site.
The way I remember it, Matt, his dad and Jim were early "bulletin board" guys who had brought their sites main stream in 97.
There was a point at about the same time Lucianne left that Drudge dropped the long standing link to FR. But we all know that there were those here that got Matt's irritation level up.
While we didn't actually have someone hack his site, there were those that ferreted out some of his links he held back for special purposes and exposed stories he had staged to run later. It's been great to see Jonah make his way to prominence but like any analyst I will find things I disagree with when I want to look.
Correct on Drudge as I believe I found FR from a link on drudge.
