I have a close friend who served with Darryl in Nam as officers, and he had nothing but great things to say about him and his nature. This guy was a rough cut but knew his stuff and called things as they are.

Issa has been blocked because he is Military and he does not stop for Obstacles like Committee members in thebag on both sidesdelayingitoff thefront pages...

Issa in Vietnam? Not according to his service record, nor his own embellished/disputed claims:

Issa's Army record in doubt

Issa himself never claimed 'Nam service. But he did claim he worked for Nixon's security entourage, assigned to sweep stadiums before the 1971 World Series games for the president's safety. One big problem: Nixon did not attend a SINGLE game that year.

Also:

Issa's service on the bomb squad was marred by a bad conduct rating, a demotion and allegations that he had stolen a fellow soldier's car.

About that car:

A fellow soldier from that time, Jay Bergey, claimed that Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971, stating: "I confronted Issa ... I got in his face and threatened to kill him, and magically my car reappeared the next day, abandoned on the turnpike." Issa was arrested, but no charges were ever filed.
