There have been any comments about Gowdy & how disappointed people are in him ... he’s not accomplishing anything with the Benghazi Committee, etc.
Gowdy is doing something that virtually no one else has the experience, knowledge, or courage to do .... he is approaching his mission per the Benghazi Committee as a prosecutor, not as a politician. Thus, most of the work is behind closed doors, not in public hearings that accomplish little. He’s holding a lot close to the vest until he has all the facts, then his findings, conclusions & recommendations will be made public. This letter just confirms to me that, despite the political pressure to do otherwise, Gowdy is doing a professional job & his motives are the right ones.
Thirteen pages is too much for Elijah Cummings.
Cummings will give the letter to Hank Johnson to read
then explain to him.

Liberals are results-oriented. Instead of sending a letter, a Liberal tactic would be to beat the crap out of an opponent and burn his house down. Threaten his family. Destroy his career and livelihood. Silence and neutralize the opponent. Forever.
Conservatives are process oriented, meaning that we're focused on following the rules and procedures and make sure we "do the right thing."

In terms of motives and likely effects, was Gowdy: defending the committee after McCarthy’s transparent attempt to derail it; calling out Cummins/Dems to stop their leaks and gameplaying; or, shaping the battlefield in preparation for Clinton’s appearance, and making sure it happens? In view of some of the info Gowdy just unleashed, Hillary will be hard-pressed to cancel (I suspect she is angling to do exactly that). This gives her a heads up on issues and evidence she will likely be asked, in time for her team to concoct answers. Wonder if that was intentional?
Something I hope Gowdy looks into (directly asking both Hillary and others) is a comprehensive list of sources of policy advice Hillary was getting on Libya policy, and the nature of that information. Gowdy’s letter makes it sound like Blumenthal was Hillary’s main source on Libya, and that she shoved it down the pipe via her political lackeys. To what extent did she solicit and assess genuine expert opinion and intel from official, academic, or other sources?
Was the Benghazi operation itself possibly related to Blumenthal’s business venture? Could that be why H was so desperate to push the spontaneous uprising narrative?
