If there is something to the accusations off McCarthey -Ellmers (”Ellmer serves as the current chairwoman of the Republican Women’s Policy Committee.[28] In 2015, she led five other Republican women in opposing a bill banning abortion after 20 weeks.”) that puts McCarthy in the same boat with Bob Livingston and Dan Coates.

South Carolina can do better than Ellmers. She needs a serious primary challenger.

Per Gradegov.com, WEBSTER is a MIDDLE OF THE ROAD “C”.
Hell, McCarthy is a B MINUS.

And WEBSTER is an IMPROVEMENT??

I smell another rat here, gang!!

The Freedom Caucus has a great opportunity here, they’d better not blow it! They need to really show their strength by insisting on a true conservative. Time to play hardball with the GOPe!

Hope it goes to several votes, and then the right man steps forward.

ConservativeReview score isn’t very good.

Levin doesn’t like any of the three ... Webster, Chaffetz, or McCarthy.

The real significance is that the HFC is denying McCarthy the Speakership, unless he compromises with them or gets Dem votes. They’re using their influence.
The bad news is that this means they haven’t succeeded yet.

I got off the phone with my representative’s office little while ago. I requested he not vote for McCarthy under any circumstance.

She said I wasn’t the first!

We need to burn the phone lines to our reps.

Why in the world would they vote for someone that the departing Speaker endorsed?????

Boehner will soon be DEPARTED. Count our blessings and hope they vote for someone who is not only strong, but also, able to speak persuasively.

Election requires an absolute majority of the total votes cast.
