A stupid waste of advanced ammo.

Probably just cleaning out the old arsenal so they can order better newer stuff.

Very probably, but this is still “shooting a fieldgun to get some sparrow hawks” - a Russian saying.

To me, Russia is using Syria as a proving grounds for its weapons and their effects. Besides supporting Syria.

>>>A stupid waste of advanced ammo. Dumb bombs, 0.5 caliber machine guns and unguided air to surface missiles are the perfect means to fight an adversary like ISIS.

If their goal in launching cruise missiles was to kill ISIS guys only...then yes...you are correct.

HOWEVER...that was just a benefit of the launches...not the real purpose. The real purpose was much bigger than that: To show us they can.

As I recall. Bill Clinton depleted our Cruise Missile inventory blowing up sand and a few janitors.

Guardian reported range of 2500 Klick and strike within 3 meters of intended target. Not too shabby!

ISIS gets to feel what real war is all about. Its not a PR photo-op its a terrible killing thing. BUT, that being said-—It couldn’t happen to a better set of people. Wait til ISIS catures a few Russians and burns them alive on camera. Then all Hell will visit them!

VODKAHAWK : The anti-jihadist weapon.

When do the Russians start arming the Kurds?

I'll bet before the end of the weekend the Kurds may have some shiny new T-84’s with the shortened barrel for “city conflict resolution”.

If they start...... :-)

Yes....true...but the difference here is Putin would have broadcasted his affair on YouTube rather than try to hide it with a drone strike. ;-)
