In the US, Black History month starts early in January and ends in late March.
How come their “history” is always portrayed in a positive light?

I hope that’s satire. Although we Limeys get the feeling that millions of Americans aren’t aware the UK has a long standing and sizeable black population. You might, but does Jim-Bob Hickey from Backwardsville, Alabammy?.
Unfortunately, here in the US most blacks are ignorant when it comes to their heritage and are spoon fed falsehoods. I can ask 100 blacks who Daniel James was and about 90% won’t have a clue.
