Pointing out that Carson's scheme makes no sense is not looking bad. HSAs make sense if people can or will fund them. If you have a $10,000 deductible on your insurance plan and a $2,000 HSA then it doesn't take a genius to see that the math doesn't work.
do you have any idea how much less PREMIUM EVERY MONTH a true free market 10K deductible plan saves? Depending on the person, family, etc, it SAVES more than 10K a year.....meaning the worst you can do is “break even.”
It takes 95% of the administrative cost out of the equation as well.
And yes, it's bad when you claim he knows nothing but how to bill, and yes it was a really bad way to start your day.
