Yep. I recall reading about Soviet officials who were arrested for treason during Stalin's purges of the 1930's. Those officials were innocent of treason, and the KGB knew it. But the KGB asked them to confess anyway, for the good of the Revolution. And many did.

The PC crowd is doing much they same today. They are willing to sacrifice everything, destroy everything, "for the good of the Revolution".
