I think this is a more problematic issue than who is feeding at the public trough.

The left have gotten increasingly militant and authoritarian. They evidently see no problem with calling for re-education camps, imprisonment or execution of those who disagree with them on even the slightest issue.

It is unwise to think that they are engaging in hyperbolic rhetoric. The left is dangerous. They are the new fascist which are like the old fascist except with less conscience.

I agree with that. This kind of rhetoric isn’t just empty rhetoric. They really intend to do it.

I quite agree and I did not mean to discount the issue by not remarking on that aspect of it. It is a pattern of this administration, indeed it is a signature of the left wherever it gains power, to stifle dissent from its orthodoxy. We see that in this administration from the very first days when they described veterans and ordinary people possessing guns under the Second Amendment to be potential terrorists.

We have seen what they have done through the IRS, for example. We know the hold they have in general over the media. We see the penetration that the left has achieved in academia, far beyond the particulars of this professor at James Mason. A companion thread posted just a few minutes ago is to the effect that the Obama administration is working with United Nations to set up a league of cities to combat some ill-defined threat. The reactions on this thread are violent because we know the character of this administration. We quite rightly fear that the Obama administration is doing what leftists always do, changing the venue to a new place or a new forum as they exhaust the options in the legitimate venue. We just saw that when Barack Obama took the Iran deal directly to the Security Council before submitting it to Congress.

I am concerned about the funding of this global warming scam because many of us have been concerned for some time that the loss of elections occurs because we lose the culture. We are losing the culture because the institutions which express the culture have been suborned by the left, infiltrated by them, and their finances co-opted by the left. More, the left has effectively used the largess of the federal government to fund every one of its schemes and to perpetuate its propaganda.

I offer two words in explanation: Planned Parenthood

The overwhelming number of violent crimes committed in the US are committed by left leaning individuals.

YOu get a good solid business wise person in there for a change, and this waste must stop. Millions of tax money, dues, etc are going thru these federal unions.

Federal unions should be disbanded, or at the very least you let the person decide if he or she wishes to dontate money to them. I bet it’s tens of thousands of hard earned cash per person going to these unions.
