So true. I watched the “Joaquin” storm banner presented with ominous music and then the “breathless” warnings belched forth from Fat Al the weatherguy. I knew the whole East coast was doomed .... tropical storm Sandy was merely a stiff breeze compared to what was forecasted to attack the coast.

But wait, never mind .... the geniuses that brought you “climate change” and “man made Global Warming” cannot even forecast a simple hurricane which has a billion less variables.

The European model (from a private consortium there) predicted it would go out to sea five days ago. The NOAA American models (and the Canadian) all were wrong until yesterday when they were a little closer and today when they threw in the towel and joined the European model. The conclusion is fairly simple, the American models are to some extend infected by global warming “science” and actually reuse some of the same incorrect principles. There’s an even bigger problem in the American models used for seasonal climate predictions. The NASA model in particular can run very warm thanks to built in global (and thus local) warming.

Rush is a funny guy. He really gets this people. The ones warning us that the climate will harm us are the same ones hoping the climate harms us.

Journalism is entertainment.
Especially breaking news.

And severe weather forecasting is “breaking news” par excellance. It is scheduled “breaking news.” Perfect for entertainment value.

Now there are panic stories still associated with this storm about the amount of rain and sea level rise and wave action all up North Carolina...

Sorry to break it to you, Rush, but the Carolinas ARE getting clobbered with rain. Right now. Look at the radar maps.

But Rush is right on the money in one respect. The commercial news outlets absolutely overhype weather events because it attracts viewers and clickers. Virtually every bit of data that they present comes DIRECTLY from NOAA, but then they amplify/distort what NOAA is telling them.
