I saw House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy's attempt to "clarify" his comments about how the Benghazi Select Committee affected Hillary Clinton's poll numbers to Brett Baier earlier this evening and I must say he does not inspire confidence. McCarthy makes John Boehner look like Ronald Reagan.
Now I have no sympathy for Harry Reid who characterized McCarthy's comments as a "political witch hunt". Given Reid's attacks on the Senate floor against Mitt Romney and the Koch Brothers, it is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
But if Republicans are to offer a credible legislative program and be an effective opposition to the Obama Administration, they are going to have to do better than Kevin McCarthy.

Nothing but a rock-solid conservative need apply for Speaker. Louie Gohmert comes to mind....

As one of the Virginian’s who kicked Cantor in he ass and put Brat in office (we need 400 more of him), I was struck by how much McCarthy sounded EXACTLY LIKE CANTOR.
The conservatives need to kick his but out just like we did Cantor...
The poker tell is to see who all wants McCarthy, all the establishment republicans desiring to keep their power and status quo. We don’t need this crap, we’ve had ENOUGH! Look what their so-called leadership had gotten us, nothing worth a hoot in hell. The republicans drop to their knees to make 0bama and his minions happy while ignoring the electorate who put them in power to change the leftwing status quo. Fire them all, with real fire!

he won’t be defeated in an election, he might leave if his affair with someone is exposed, but he’s in a safe district with a RINO machine around him funded by the CoC and Farmers who depend on ILLEGAL ALIENS for their workers.

I don’t know much about this guy. But when he was pulling his head out of his ass last night on TV, my wife commented that he sounded like Matthew McConaughnay. ( however that’s spelled.)
