Technically there is no reason for Vanna’s position. Back in the old days when they had to have someone actually turn the old mechanical letters but now no reason except to give Vanna a job.

I just had that thought the other day.
Another thought, since the position is solely eye candy now, why not get a hotter younger babe?
I would suppose that a lot of WOF watchers are older people who like seeing a familiar face.
