A lone gunman shot dead a civilian police IT expert at close range outside a force headquarters in a targeted attack today which has been described as a 'brutal' and 'callous murder'.

The assailant, dressed all in black, fired a number of shots at special constables guarding the NSW Police station in Parramatta, Sydney, before he was gunned down and killed by one of the officers.

Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said the civilian employee was 'simply leaving work' when he was shot in the back of the head by the gunman who was wearing 'dark trousers and a flowing top'.

He refused to be drawn on whether the double shooting was terror-related, but admitted that officers from within the counter-terrorism command were working alongside the homicide squad.

The lyin king is expected to make a statement calling for tighter gun restrictions in Australia. "We need to get all those guns off of Australia's streets." Anyone?

“gunman who was wearing ‘dark trousers and a flowing top’.”

Unless he was a pirate, I only know of one group of men that wears “flowing tops”.

In Sydney? Down Undah?

Not possible. They've taken all the guns away down there. No law abiding citizen can have a gun there. Oh....wait.

Wait! This story could not be true. They have gun control in Australia and shootings cannot possibly happen.

Please - not this nonsense again.

Guns are not banned in Australia. At least a million Australian civilians legally own millions of firearms.

My local gun shop.

People try to use Australia as an example for their own political ends, and are often not honest about representing what actually happens. We do have some dumb gun control laws here, but, no, the guns were not all taken away. That's gun controller propaganda.
