The McConnell Meltdown
Breitbart ^ | 10/1/15 | David Bossie

Posted on 10/01/2015 4:32:54 PM PDT by VinL

During the primary season of 2012, Senator Sen. Mitch McConnell was expecting millions in establishment cash to propel Texas’ Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to the United States Senate.

Dewhurst, in McConnell’s mind, would be another political asset for him, in his decades-long dream to become Senate Majority Leader. Dewhurst looked and acted the part. McConnell envisioned Dewhurst would become part of the establishment in the U.S. Senate and most importantly, someone who would never stand up to McConnell or confront the failed status quo.

But on July 31, 2012, conservative grassroots voters in Texas had a different idea. Those Texans were truly ahead of the curve; they already knew what millions now know so well – that Washington is broken and that Americans are being lied to by career politicians like Mitch McConnell. Those courageous voters listened to Sen. Ted Cruz ’s message of speaking truth to power and sent him to the United States Senate. This was certainly a historic election for anti-establishment forces. However, no one could have foreseen just how critically important it would turn out to be.

Fast-forward to the summer of 2015. Senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruz has made good on his core promise to be the voice that would hold the Washington cartel accountable. Cruz has become the one elected official in Washington who will reliably call out the establishment every time it breaks a promise or...

There's only one issue in 2016, the demolition of the Establishment GOP, without which, NOTHING else matters.

Good on Trump for wanting to build the WALL, but Mitch and the GOP-e will ultimately install 1000 gates in it.

Ted Cruz is the only one who will dismantle the GOP, and return the GOP to a constitutional party.

McC may be a liar, but people in KY don’t know that. The Kentuckians are always the last to know.

See the site and look at the picture of Turtle Face McDumbo, classic! McDumbo is treading water, and that is hard for a turtle! His days are numbered but he will refuse to give up power. As usual the establishment is the problem.

Here's a bit of macabre humor:

Mar 6, 2014: McConnell Brings a Gun as Prop to CPAC

"If I'm given an opportunity to lead the U.S. Senate next year, I will not let you down," McConnell, 72, promised the crowd.

Isn’t that just the perfect image of what that fraud thinks about the “gullibility” of his base.

Judging from your comments and from your tagline, I think you are as concerned as I am to peel at least one layer of the onion away, to cease to blame politicians for doing what their constituents want. As Walt Kelly said, we have met the enemy and he is us.

If the people of Kentucky return a Mitch McConnell year after year or, rather, decade after decade, to the United States Senate he must be delivering something they want. The record of Sen. Byrd in West Virginia comes to mind. If cosmic idiot like Eleanor Holmes Norton can be repeatedly reelected from the District of Columbia, she is delivering something those voters want.

So we ask ourselves why is it that conservatism loses these elections, whether the label on the victor is Republican or Democrat? We have to look at our other institutions like the media and the education establishment. And if we want to peel the next layer off the onion, we should look at the epistemology which dominates these institutions coming out of places like The Frankfurt School.

Finally, if these forces were not enough to keep our politics dominated by people like Mitch McConnell, we have the overwhelming force of immigration. As one writer put it, the Democrats could not change our minds so they changed voters.

Until we figure a way to deal with these underlying currents we will always be swimming against the tide.

“McConnell has abandoned standing up for conservative Republican values”

Not only this, he has abandoned our CONSTITUTION as well. No, this turtle should be road kill, nothing more. He is certainly not looking out for the best interests of OUR NATION!!! Time to crush the shell and make a few bits of jewelry ‘or what ever’

This old native Texan is very proud to have been a small part of that event!
I donated to Ted Cruz. I worked the phones for him. I even had my grand kids out working for Cruz!

If fact, I made another donation to his present campaign just yesterday!
Go TED GO!!

New idea, call me crazy, but...

How about we elect a majority leader who is NOT eligible for social security?

Maybe someone with a clue about what the 21st century looks like.
