A Jewish friend was tasked with teaching Arabs how to maintain our company products. (These were Arab maintenance techs.) They refused to listen until they had established he was indeed Jewish. There was some discussion in Arabic and then they settled down to absorb all the knowledge he could teach. I asked if he went out with them on the town as he frequently did with other visitors. He said, “you’ve go to be kidding.”
As an Israeli I’d never board a plane where I knew the pilot or crew was from a culture that wanted to kill me.
Not to be nitpicking, but you won’t find a great deal of “natives” as the crew of airlines operated by the rich Gulf States. The overwhelming majority are expats.

My bet is most of the pilots are Western.
