I'm you plus 10 and have never had a flu shot either. I think I've had some form of flu (excluding the 24 hour). Earlier this year I think I got the one going around the shot didn't work for, first the watery eyes, then it was a bad cough, continual, seemed bronchial, and lasted for over 2 weeks. I didn't have a fever and didn't feel that sick or weak but spent a lot of time in bed. Suddenly about a week and 2 days, I was better, thankfully.
So I'm thinking of getting the shot this year but I don't know. It's not like I go out and expose a lot of people to anything because I don't go out except to the dr's appt's I can't avoid.
I meant to say since they started giving flu shots in the 1960's at work, I have had some form of flu other than the 24-hour kind, three times. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it from different grandchildren but if they are getting the flu shots how can that be?
This latest one, my grandson had the shot but could have had a mild case (they didn't get it right), then given it to me or it was my daughter. Doubt if it could have been anyone else unless I caught it from a trip to the store.
