How many times have we heard that Donald Trump has peaked since he declared his candidacy for president in June? A half dozen times? More? And each time Peak Trump was announced by pundits, it was inevitably followed by yet another surge in the polls. This is probably why in recent weeks, media prognosticators seem to have shied from declaring Peak Trump since it is always followed by you-know-what. However enter Ezra Klein of Vox. Throwing caution to the winds, Klein went where few now dare to go by predicting that we have indeed finally reached Peak Trump. Klein consulted charts and graphs before tuning up his horn to play taps on Trump's candidacy. Of course, the inevitable quickly happened to leave Klein's face covered with egg. But first let us join the chart gazing Klein's bold assertion of Peak Trump posted at 8:20 this morning:

1. Trump is 100% self funded....no rich donors demanding to expand H1-B visa’s for cheap labor express, and allow export of factories to foreign lands which takes away middle class jobs.
2. Better name recognition than any other candidate running except perhaps Bush.
3. Fearless! Not afraid to confront any adversary or the media.
4. Only candidate using the word “DEPORT” in his campaign.
5. Only candidate who has actually built WALLS before.
6. Willing to sacrifice his $400 million income for $0.4 million salary of president, which he will donate to US Treasury.
7. Willing to take a huge hit due to proposed income tax rates in order to HELP middle & lower income achieve UPWARD MOBILITY and hopefully get off dependence on government handouts.
8. Not a necon, unlike Bush & Rubio who are itching to fight more wars in the middle-east, on credit card, and get paid nothing!
9. Only candidate who wants to stop China & others from UNFAIR trading practices resulting in humongous trade deficits every year. These deficits have consequences, as foreigners own more and more of USA.
On Sunday lil Georgie claimed Trump was past his apogee. Wallace repeated it and they both got smug because they used the word apogee. It was pathetic.
