There are two types of nuclear reactors, one that produces weapons grade materials, and the other, that just produces power.
Point one, tell Iran that we will help them with R&D on reactors that do not produce weapons grade materials (molten salt reactors) and that they are prohibited from creating reactors that do produce weapons grade materials. If Iran's intentions are peaceful, a power only reactor should be all that is needed.
Point two, what does an oil rich county need with a nuclear reactor. Iran has all the fuel it needs to power their country without the added expense of a nuclear reactor.
Point three, points one and two prove that Iran only wants a reactor that can help them produce nuclear weapons. Giving the greatest sponsor of world-wide terrorism access to a nuclear weapon, particularly when said county has declared publicly that they want to eradicate other countries (USA & Israel), is madness on a world wide scale.
