Im a pretty good Republican, Trump told Scott Pelley on CBSs 60 Minutes. But I will tell you this, I do have some differences.
Trump has been under fire from his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination who have sought to highlight his past support for liberal causes and donations to Democrats.
Trump, who is expected to release a policy proposal on tax reform on Monday morning, said one area of disagreement he has with the party is that he supports raising taxes on the wealthiest.
I don't want to have certain people on Wall Street getting away with paying no tax, Trump said.
Some [taxes on the] very wealthy are going to be raised [if Im president], Trump explained.
Some people that are getting unfair deductions are going to be raised. But overall, it's going to be a tremendous incentive to grow the economy and we're going to take in the same or more money. And I think were going to have something thats going to be spectacular.
Trump said that under his tax plan, the nations poorest would pay a zero percent tax rate; that hed offer a substantial reduction for the Middle Class; and offer corporations a tax reduction as well.

I think the taxpayers will not have to pay Trump to be president. The first one since JFK I believe.
Is this the thread for 60 minutes interview?

Part of me feels that Trump is like chemotherapy. Lots of side effects, but amongst our only chances to fight the cancer.
I will wait for details but this sound bite doesn’t sound conservative.
I think Trump really does want to turn this country around. The man is a billionaire - he could retire right now if he wanted to - sit back and let the millions continue to roll in. I don’t think he would stick his neck out and weather these 24/7 attacks on him otherwise. He doesn’t need this job - American needs him!
Oh goody, another redistributions who only wants certain unfavored people to have skin in the game.
This populism crap is not healthy to growing the economy. We have had tax cut after tax cut for the middle class and it continues to increase the burden of the government on the greatest earners. More and more people are paying little or no taxes. As we get to 50% paying substantially no taxes the vote will be the takers against the producers.
Romney was right about the 47%. When people don’t have any skin in the game they will vote for more and more give away’s. The poor and the middle class need to pay more taxes not less taxes.
I think he’s referring to the hedge fund people who pay little or nothing in taxes.
Whatever it sounds like or doesn’t sound like, the GOP is conservative at all on anything.
Are you nuts? The middle class is being strained as it is - it’s the wealthy who get all the deductions. Just wait until his tax plan is released before jumping to conclusions.
“Oh goody, another redistributions who only wants certain unfavored people to have skin in the game.”
Excuse me, but the poorest haven’t paid taxes in a generation or more.
I guess your idea of conservative and mine are 2 different things. Tax cuts for corporations and businesses grow the economy. That’s conservative!
We need jobs.
Oh goodie. At least we’ll save $400K a year.
You nailed it.
Our companies are selling out. Across the board.
Trump is saying America needs to bring back jobs. I completely agree with him on this.
