There are quite possibly some off-shoots of islam that don't hold to sharia, but they would be considered heretical to any orthodox muslim.

But they were the best culture ever once according to Carly. She wrote that article after 9/11 while I was traveling four hours to get to work in Rock Plaza and passing the ruins of two great buildings every day.

That's correct, RR, and denying Sharia seems to be one of the causes of the bloody conflict between the branches of Islam.

OTH, some broadly claim, "Since the Sharia originated with Allah, Muslims consider it sacred."

So we are faced with the problem of those claiming to be practicing Muslims who also dishonestly claim they deny the Sharia because they realize it is inconsistent with the Constitution.

How do we distinguish when the Quran permits such dishonesty in dealings with infidels? And, if we can, do we have the political ability or will to enforce the point?
