Because they really don't care about conservative issues. They care about staying in power and keeping the money coming in. In fact I think the GOPe actually prefers a Democrat president. It makes it easier for them to scare conservatives into voting for them with the threat of a Democrat president and Congress.
That explains many, but not all. I think we would be surprised to know how many are compromised and who therefore behave under threat of exposure.
Betrayal is almost a mild word for what I feel.
The only reasons left I had to support the GOP were to stop Obamacare, stop amnesty, and stop fag-marriage. And what does the GOP do? Not only refuse to fight, but join hands with Obama to outright fund his agenda. The Republican Party spit in my face and threw out the only reasons I had left to vote for them, after a lifetime of support.
And this is all on the heels of the backstabbings of Palin, Cuccinelli, the freezing-out of tea-party members from committees, and lastly, the totally vile situation of the Mississippi Cochran/McDaniel race in which the GOP-E solicited illegal black Dem votes and branded their own GOP frontrunner and his supporters as KKK-supporting racists.
It’s a shock when the GOP calls me for money! I put my tong to every nasty word I can remember in as many language’s I have ever heard. Thy have not called in a few months I wonder if I’m on the no call list?
I understand what you’re saying, but the cost of NOT fighting is costing them more in the long run. They aren’t even bothering to try and appease conservatives with a token fight. What harm is done by forcing the president’s veto? When the override vote fails, they can say they tried and point fingers at Obama.
The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the GOPe simply thinks they can win anyway. People like McCain and Graham keep getting reelected, so it’s no wonder they think they’re untouchable.
If that 62% is true then it doesn’t matter who the candidate are in 2016. The Republicans lose the presidency and both houses.
Exactly.
No sarcasm at all, but the only shocking thing is that it is only 62%. I’d like to see a state by state list of defections from the Republican Party - my wife and I left last May here in New York.
I’m shocked it’s only 62%
The GOP has betrayed us on every issue, but particularly when it comes to the illegal alien inundation.
The Cheap Labor Express owns most of them.
the establishment RINOs are blissfully happy doing nothing except attending fundraisers and expressing mild, ineffectual dismay at the actions of their dear friends on the democrat side. Boehner and McConnell never had any intentions of undoing the disastrous actions of the traitor in chief.
yet, we are the ‘crazies’
Dennis Hastert comes to mind.
I think we can be certain there was big time vote fraud. When you say you heard in the grapevine that people are in the process of "probing it", do you mean probing to find a way to stop it or probing to do a better job of cheating? I hope to God it's to make it stop!
I will NEVER forget or "get over" that one!!!
Another ditto.
finding the "faults" in the system that were intentionally built in facilitate cheating
at this point I'd say we're just about here:
