DEBKA is reporting that the Chinese Aircraft Carrier Liaoning and a Guided Missile Cruiser arrived off of Tartus this morning, but so far, it is unconfirmed.
There were Twitter reports of Chinese Navy ships entering the Suez on the 23rd.
What could possibly go wrong?

China has exactly one carrier. It’s big. It has never done a medcruise before. It either had to go through the Suez canal, or the Straits of Gibraltar. Its a little odd that Debka and only Debka is reporting this. This really shouldn’t be a big mystery to confirm.
Would all this be happening if Hussein, Mubarak, and Quadaffi (sp?)were still around?
