Should have got our own damn oil elsewhere.

We have plenty to meet our own needs, and could completely self-supply if the envirowackos would permit us to look to our own security instead of funding Saudi Arabia for 13% of our oil consumption. However, we still buy the majority of what we use either here or "elsewhere". The middle east is selling to the growing demands of the huge developing nations, China and India, and some regions of Africa.

American Muslims come from various backgrounds, and are one of the most racially diverse religious groups in the United States according to a 2009 Gallup poll.

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.

It depends how you define "religious groups", doesn't it? Since there are only two main religions other than Islam—Christianity and Judaism—there is only one other group that can qualify as one of the racially diverse religious groups, and that would be Christianity. The fact that the Christian population contains blacks and Asians roughly in proportion to overall population and the Islam population has a higher proportion of blacks to whites based on its anti-Christian and anti-Constitutional roots does not make American Islam an exemplar of enlightenment. That framing of a piece of propaganda makes the writer a typical progressive wordsmith, however.

Progressive propaganda begins and ends with the idea that the white majority is inherently evil for being a majority and for being white. There's no other possibility in their minds.
