Good answer Marco!
Rubio is a little late - Christie already made that very same point.
DUH.
Well, that’s good to know. ;-)
Too bad Rubios liberalism extends to his republican voting.
If the Pope uses the formula to make an Infallible statement, I am not aware anything saying it is limited. Popes have in the past been VERY political, to the point of condemning entire nations for what their rulers have done.
Well said, Marco.
And the pope’s “infallibility” only extends to his followers anyway.
Just saw a teaser on Fox Business about the Pope addressing gay marriage- have to hear that one!
I am so sick of these questions that GOP candidates get. BS like “If you are Catholic, why don’t you agree with the Pope on Capitalism and Climate Change?” or “Do you think Barak Obama is a Christian?” Its all such BS. GOP candidates should not engage on these questions. Call them BS and move on.
“According to Rubio, Francis is infallible on theological matters,”
And Rubio wants to run the country? Francis is as “infallible” as Jim Jones, David Koresh, Mary Baker Glover Patterson Eddy, and Oz’s Man Behind The Curtain. Personally, I’d prefer someone who believes the Bible. But that’s just me.
Rubio had a much better response than Cruz’s kissing up.
1. The Pope is a human.
2. Humans are fallible.
3. The Pope, therefore, is fallible; politically or otherwise.
Nice try, Rube.
Now go away.
This is a focus group produced statement.
He is using the money that would have gone to walker from the Koch bros.
I wonder if Francis will be doing Robocalls for Bernie Sanders in the next election.
I can only think of two infallible issues on which any Pope has spoken...the Assumption and the Immaculate Conception...his views on global warming, socialism, are pretty much the views of an educated man....no more, no less.
Rubio is a phony conservative. He lost me when he got in bed with Schumer & McCain to put out an “immigration reform” bill that just adds millions of voters to the Rat party.
Neither does Marco’s.
Is the pope fallible about what he’s fallible about? Does the pope realize when he is fail?
I’ve been saying for years that politics is a subset of religion so if the pope is fallible about politics...
“According to Rubio,”
Not just according to Rubio, according to the Catholic Church, the pope is only infallible on matters of theology, not climate change, etc. I think most other Catholics know this too.
Thanks, Rubio. Good grief.
