"I’m a Catholic and it is NOT a normal state for a man not to have sex his entire life."

Quite a commentary on the lives of St. Paul and Our Lord Jesus Christ. And many thousands of other good men who lived their lives in pure, consecrated celibacy.

And do you think marriage would have cured this fellow of his tendency to pederasty? It's never been known to do so before.

” pure, consecrated celibacy.”

I think there’s something wrong with an
ideology that glamorizes resisting the
continuation of the human race, but that’s just me.

Quite a commentary on the lives of St. Paul and Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I think you are making an assumption about Paul that cannot be supported. While it is true that Paul was not married later in his life, in his earlier life Saul was a Pharisee, a position that required him to be married. It is true that Jesus remained chaste throughout His life on Earth, but that is certainly not the "normal state". I think we can agree that Jesus was somewhat of a special case...

That is not to say that a man or woman cannot remain chaste throughout their life; just that it is a very hard thing, as the numerous sex scandals in the Catholic Church as well as other churches has proven.
